Officers’ Reports

	Librarian - We have items in the library for loan

	Treasurer - Last balance was 2549.16 
                    Deposits and costs for Coconut Cup not tallied yet

Old Business:

Coconut Cup

	291 entries
	Discussion about future of Coconut Cup

	Possibility of joining with FLAB and/or Palm Beach

	Concern was expressed that joining with another club might preset
	logistical problems and reduce the amount of money we earn

	Support for keeping the competition was expressed. It is part of the
	identity of the club.

	If competition is going to continue in the future we will have to expand
	the pool of BJCP ranked judges.

New Business:

Competitions

	Hurricane Blowoff - Competition scheduled for April 27 – 28, 2012 at El Encanto
                            Entry window from March 23 – April 6
                            There will be a meeting at Big Bear on April 6 to drop off entries

	Hogtown Brewoff - Competition scheduled for May 18 – 19, 2012
                          Entry window from April 23 – May 5

	Meadlennium - Competition scheduled for May 11 -12, 2012
                      Entry window from April 16 – May 6

Big Brew

	Saturday, May 5, 2012

	Two official recipes posted by AHA: American Brown Ale and Northern
	English Brown Ale

	Dave Dunn has offered to host at BrewBox

	There was some discussion of using this Big Brew as an opportunity to
	compare different varieties of yeast or hops. The discussion will be
	continued through email.

United Way Brews and Bites

	Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Mary Brickell Village

	Need to send a list of volunteers to the organizers. Persons who
	volunteered were: Bob & Jody, Patrick, Colin, Darryl, Dave K, Bob &
	Rachel, Bob and Ana F, Jon, Denise

Future of the Club

	Marketing

	Need to develop synergy with BrewBox

	Membership
		Need a list of paid members
		Can we list members of the club on the website
		Can we add picture of the officers on the website

	Website
		Website needs to be updated
		Does the format of the website need to be updated?

	Shirts
		Need to order new shirts, both polo and t-shirts

	Logo
		We want to keep the Guzzler for club use but we need to develop a new
		logo for more formal occasions

	Marketing Membership Committee
		Dave Kirsten and Bob Billany agreed to chair the committee

President’s Message
	Jon plans to post the agenda on the website ahead of the meetings and
	will ask for input from the members

	This agenda will take the place of a more summary-oriented President’s
	Message

New BJCP testing format
	The computer test is now available. Participants must score a 60 or
	higher to sit for the tasting exam.

	The tasting exam is now 6 beers in 90 minutes. Participants must score a
	80 or higher to sit for the written exam.

Brewer of the Year Competition
	This month’s category is Kolsch. There was only one entry from Dave
	and Bob and it was given first place by acclamation.
