Greetings Fellow MASH'ers,
Another month has almost slipped by.
Thanks to Augusto Gil for bringing in his very first batch of
homebrew for all of us to try. It was a very good Dry Stout with no off flavors
at all. I remember my first 10 batches of so had so many off flavors it was
hard to tell the beer from the bacteria. But I loved drinking it anyway.
Thats one of the great things about our Club. The opportunity to share our
brewing experiences, good or bad. The "Big Brew" this year will
be a great experiment with yeast types. Scott Graham has posted a request
for your yeast preference so please let him know asap.
At our next meeting we will be finishing the details of the "Big Brew'
at the Titanic, and our spring picnic. A big THANK-YOU to Jamie and the Titanic
for sharing the opportunity to brew the "Big Brew" on their system
with all of us MASH'ers.
One last thing. Please don't forget to bring a couple of homebrews to the
next meeting, April, 25th, for John Boyles. to show some appreciation for
letting our club meet at his establishment, The Thai Orchid restaurant.
Have a hoppy day,
Scott Ross
The Titanic celebrated its second anniversary March 30th, attracting a number of MASHers to the party. Photographic evidence indicates that the party was well-enjoyed.
Please remember that the Big Brew is being held on May 5th at the Titanic. It will be immediately followed by the National Homebrew Day picnic at Tropical Park.
Entries for The Sunshine Challenge are due between April 23rd and May 7th. This year's Challenge is being held May 18-20.
