Hello MASHers,

I'm glad to see posts from so many of you about the interesting things going on. There is a lot of brewing going on and we have more people experimenting with growing hops. We'll all look forward to sampling some fresh hop beers this Fall!

Last month's MASH meeting was well attended. Thanks to everyone who came out and congratulations to the BotY winners, Jon B., Eric J, and Josh K.

The Palm Beach Draughtsmen held their Hurricane Blowoff competition on April 24th. Jon B. and I were able to make it up to judge. There were representatives from many of the state's homebrew clubs and it was good to visit with all of them. Congratulations are in order for the MASH medal winners. Josh K. took a bronze medal in the German Wheat and Rye category. Scott & Denise G. took a gold medal in the Specialty Beer category.

The MASH April Meeting is this Tuesday, April 27th. The BotY styles are Porter and Stout.

The New Times Brew at the Zoo festival is scheduled for May 1st. I am aware of several MASHers attending. Have fun and be safe!

The Big Brew will be held May 8th. Josh K. has organized quite a few brewers and has already ordered ingredients. Bring out your equipment to share your techniques and, if you've let Josh know that you'll be doing so, bring a carboy to help ferment some beer.

The Hogtown Brewers will be hosting the 2010 Hogtown Brew-Off May 14th-15th. The entry window is open. If your entries didn't make the railroad pickup, please get them entered and sent up that way. We'll have MASH representation at the competition, so will be able to bring home any goodies that you win.

We need to start thinking about this Summer's Solstice Party. If you have any ideas or date restrictions, please let me know.

Cheers,
Scott
