Congratulations to all the new Beer Judges in our club! The exam covers a lot of areas and it takes a lot of work. So, again, congratultions. We all owe Chris a big thank-you for all the preparation and guidance.
Thanks to Mr. Kelley for his interesting, albeit brief, talk on his "Best of Show" Dunkle-weizen, at our last meeting. A special thanks to Augusto Gil, our newest member, for his entertaining description of his very first homebrew experience. I laughed so hard my sides ached the next day. We all certainly can relate to his trials and tribulations. We all can't wait to taste it.
Next meeting we still need to discuss the May Picnic plans and also the Big Brew-off.
Joe Berryman had a good idea for commercial sponsors for different style
catagories in the Coconut Cup, we need to pursue that. Before we know it,
Feb. 2002 will be here.
Again, I'm asking for volunteers to speak on any subject at our next meeting.
Pretend y'all are from Tennessee and volunteer!!!
Joe, Bob and I are still trying to straighten out the legalities of our checking acct. This is an ongoing project.
Congrats also to Scott and Denise on the Tampa win with their Pale Ale!!
I hear some gossip that a certain past member (Pres.) may (may) be returning.

Chris B. has received the results of the BJCP Exam that many of the club members took. We're proud to report that five MASH members are now Recognized BJCP Judges, and that one will become a Certified judge upon collecting the requisite experience points. Way to go, MASHers!
Congratulations to the Titanic Brewing Co.! Their Boiler Room Nut Brown Ale took a silver medal in the English-style brown ale category at the 2001 Real Ale Festival.
