Eleven members attended the October meeting. I am glade to report none of them were in costume. One of the things that were discussed was the MASH bank account. I am happy to say that the old account has been closed and a new one was opened at Bank United. This will save us $12.00 a month on fees. Next we are looking for a date for our holiday party we are down to December 9 or 16. Please e-mail me as soon as possible with which date is better for you. We have not pinned down a location to have the party so if anyone has any suggestions e-mail those to me too.
BOTY for last month was European Amber BJCP category 3. We had one entry for the competition, which is less then we hoped for but it was still an entry. So with out further ado first place goes to Russell Everett for his European Amber. Good going Russell for the win and for the only club member to summit an entry. Next months BOTY style is Belgian Strong Ale category 18. LetÂ’s have more then one entry this month, so eat all the left over Holloween candy and brew.
The Coconut Cup is being held in February 17, 2007 and there is a lot of work to do. Sponsorship letters are going out and the date has been posted with the AHA and BJCP. In the coming weeks Denise will be releasing more information.
5th Annual Walk the Line on Barleywine and Strong Ale Stumble. This is one of the best competition and event to attend. The fact that it is held in Florida makes it convenient to enter and attend. Here is the information on both the competition and event.
