2/19/2003 - From top to bottom: B350T 16 port switch (boring), Cisco 7206VXR which is our border router, old abandoned Cisco Cat that was formerly used by Engineering, and a much nicer Cisco Cat used by the VoIP phone system in the building.

12/2/2002 - Our WareWulf cluster, "starscream", currently under construction. These are stripped P3-450's with Intel network cards, whose bioses have been re-flashed to boot completely diskless off the master node, which is sitting under the desk to the right. The thin cable running from the master node to the rack actually connects to the UPS, and allows us to remotely power cycle all the slave nodes at once.

9/26/2002 - The Beowulf cluster we're working on, known as Megatron. It was set up using WareWulf and lam-mpi when this photo was taken. The big server isn't part of the cluster; it's the new cypress.cs.fiu.edu receiving a burn in test. The cluster will have over twenty nodes when completed and will be set up in ECS-212.

8/23/2002 - An old data acquisition board from DataTranslation. Apparentlythis puppy was abandoned by the people who moved out of ECS256. It willforever be doomed to life in a baggie. {:(

8/23/2002 - I wonder who "Mr. Tomato-Head" was. It is good that his legacy will be remembered in this manner.
