When you execute the command, you will be asked serveral questions. Alternatively, you can create a .webftp file in the current directory. This file can contain initialization data for the program. Use the -h option to get a list of help information.
~downeyt/public/webftp/webftp.pl -h USAGE: webftp.pl [-a][-b][-h][-i] [file] This program will upload a file to my programs directory. The default type is an ASCII transfer. Here are the possible command line arguments -a Specify an ASCII transfer -b Specify a BINARY transfer -i Ignore the .webftp configuration file -h Display this information file The name of the file to be transferred The program will also read from a file named .webftp in the current directory. The file has the format field:value The allowable fields are userid course section type filename Example of a .webftp file userid:jbond007 course:cgs4854 section:01 type:ASCII
