Mail and News Information
When working with Netscape Mail and Netscape News at the school, I recommend
that you always have a diskette with you. On the diskette you should have
the following:
-
A text file named sign.txt that contains the signature file for all your
messages.
-
A directory named Mail
-
A directory named News
Setting up for Netscape Mail (Messenger)
-
From Netscape Navigator (the Web browser), select the Edit menu
-
From the Edit menu select Preferences

-
From the Mail & Groups category, select Identity
-
Fill in your full name in the Your Name text box
-

box
-
The other text boxes are optional. If you have a signature file on
a floppy disk, then you can specify it in the Signature File text
box - be sure to include a:\ and then the name of the file. If you are connecting
to Netscape from home, then you may use the c:\ drive instead of the a:\
drive.
-
From the Mail & Groups category, select Mail Servers
-
Fill in your solix account name in the Mail Server User Name text
box.

from you e-mail account on solix, and save them on your diskette.
