8 lbs mild ale malt
3 lbs Belgian biscuit malt
1 lb 40° Crystal
1/2 lb German wheat malt
1/4 lb roasted malt
1/4 lb German smoked malt
4 lbs amber DME
1 oz N. Brewer pellets 120 min
1/4 oz Centennial pellets 120 min
3/4 oz Centennial pellets 30 min
Edinburgh ale yeast

Primary 3 days

Added 1 qt. maple syrup + 12 oz. molasses

Secondary 10 days

Added 1 vanilla bean, split

Tertiary 6 weeks

Added 3 C bourbon char to 3 gal.

Bottled after 6 weeks
