Now that we have had a Thanksgiving full of good food and better beer we held our November meeting. We had eleven members and one guest at the November meeting. Our guest was Calvin Godfrey new homebrewer to be and a writer for the Miami NewTimes magazine. He is new to homebrewing but has already purchased his first beer kit and he and I will be brewing it shortly. He also has written and article in this weeks NewTimes about our meeting. It can be viewed at http://www.miaminewtimes.com/blogs/?p=166.

Last months BOTY style was Belgian Strong Ale category 18. We had two very good entries both worthy of first place. Russell Everett's entry was awarded second place and my entry was awarded first place. I will like to see how both of them will age. We will be crowning the BOTY winner for 2006 at the Winter Solstice party.

The style for the December BOTY will be Holiday/Spice /Winter Warmer beers or meads. These will be judged at the Winter Solstice party.

Elections, that is right it is that time of the year again to elect new officers to run our great club. So if you want to step up to the plate make it known because elections are being conducted at the Solstice party. See you thought the party was all just fun and games.

Winter Solstice Party is right around the corner. December 16 at 01:00pm at the Kellys house. Bring a cover dish and BEER. And just in case bring more BEER.

That is it for now. See you all at the Winter Solstice Party.

Have a hoppy holidays! You know I had to write that.
