PRESIDENTS MESSAGE FOR OCTOBER
One two start
Two to read

As many of you may have noticed I was not at the meeting last month I was sitting on at beach drinking martinis and hand crafted beer, life is good. I would like to thank Russell, Scott and Bob for running the meeting.

BOTY for last month was Stout BJCP category 13. We had one entry for the competition, which is less then we hoped for but it was still an entry. So with out further ado first place goes to Russell Everett for his something stout. Good going Russell for the win and for the only club member to summit an entry. Next months BOTY style is European Amber BJCP category 3. LetÂ’s have more then one entry this month, so brew, brew, brew to your hearts content. Started second beer.

2007 National Homebrewers Conference update. I can definitely tell you that the National Homebrewers Conference will be held in Denver, CO in the summer of 2007. I expect to have the conference hotel and dates established within the next two weeks (hopefully sooner). Gary Glass.

BJCP exam is happening in WPB on October 14, 2006 so if you want to get certified or retest to up your ranking thing about going. I am planning to go and test my writing skills. Note from West Palm Beach Draughtsmen. Darryl yes, we are having the BJCP exam on the 14th. There is room for more, but let me know by this weekend how many will take it, so Ron Bach has enough of the beer samples for everyone to be tested on. Also, let everyone know that they need to be in West Palm by 9am that morning (I'll attach directions in the next few mins). If they're first-timers, its $50 to take the exam and $30 if they are taking it for the second, third, fourth...times. We're also going to the Yardhouse for lunch afterwards. Andy
