CIS-4XXX Research Experience for Undergraduates (0-9 credits)
Participation in ongoing research in the research centers of the school. Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor.

CIS-5XXX Research Experience for Graduate Students (0-9 credits)
Participation in ongoing research in the research centers of the school.
Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor.

These courses are needed for non-degree seeking students who are admitted into the PIRE or other funded programs temporarily and need to be registered for a course at FIU. It is expected that these students will take the course for zero credits, but we are leaving the credits flexible in case a grant requires a certain number of credits.

There is no syllabus and no objectives. This course is graded and may be taken "repeat for credit" with no limits.

We will submit this through the normal process in Bulletin #6 to eventually obtain a permanent course number, but please also have Dean Mirmiran sign a copy (at the same time as COP-1XXX) to authorize a one-time offering of each course this summer.
