During the Fall 2010 semester, SCIS will undertake a comprehensive review
of the BS in Computer Science program. The objectives of the review are
indicated by observations or concerns raised in the assessment processes
of the last two years:

1. Adjustment and/or restatement of program outcomes and objectives to
better reflect the needs of program constituents and to facilitate
measurement; to be considered in the context of the ABET Criteria
Harmonization for Accreditation.

2. Adjustment of the required component of the curriculum to provide new
BS-CS graduates with an improved and expanded “systems programming”
tool-set.

3. Re-structuring of the elective curriculum to allow a greater variety of
depth components and to facilitate students’ plans of study.
