Giri, Prabu, Xudong:

The Hospitality School, which is one of the four Data Science tracks is
proposing a 4+1 program to combine any approved undergraduate degree with
an MS in Data Science.  Logically, CS would be an automatically
pre-approved undergraduate degree.  The proposal is very generically
written, essentially stating grad school 4+1 policies.  Up to 12 credits
could be overlapped, which would likely be three CS electives plus a
fourth course toward 120 credits.

**Very few students in SCIS actually do 4+1 even though there are several
options**.  We have the 4+1 for CS, but also 4+1 CpE+MSTN and also Eng
Managements is combined with our undergraduate degrees.  But it would be
good to have it on the books as the college committed to adding 4+1
programs, so we would get some capital out of it.

Giri: Please check the wording carefully since you are expert in the Data
Science program.

Prabu: Please let me know if UCC approved the 4+1 concept.  The wording is
really from Hospitality and we would be a co-signer.

Xudong: Similarly for Graduate Committee.
