    Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are where many divergent interests relating to computers and technology come together. SIG is an interest group promoting extra curricular involvement in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, and related areas. They are smaller groups that focus on a specific topic and are usually run by a few students who are interested in the particular area. SIGs come and go depending on interest. The active SIGs are listed below with a brief description and contact information. Also listed below are examples of other SIGs we've had in the past. If you are interested in one of them, maybe you can start it up again! For the extended list of meeting dates, see our Calendar page.

Game Development is a very interdisciplinary process and unites areas like art, math, physics, literature and music, meaning this is not a club limited to programmers: everyone is welcome. No previous game-creating experience is necessary. However, you must be willing to learn something new and try your best. This is your chance to learn what it takes. Bring your creativity and ideas!
