Homework Assignment 1
Answer the following questions (some are from the book) and submit your answers as a pdf file in your dropbox in a subdirectory called "homeworks". Name the file hw1.pdf and make sure to include your name in the document. Homework assignments are to be solved independently! The deadline for this assignment is 11.59pm on September 22nd. - Imagine that you were tasked with designing a sensor system to monitor (a) a bridge, (b) a pipeline, and (c) a skyscraper (e.g., to detect fires, explosions, or other emergencies). For each of these scenarios, propose three different types of sensors and explain briefly how each sensor would be useful for the monitoring task.
