Eric Johnson was born in Louisiana. He moved from
there to
Normal, IL
with his parents.
Eric went to high school in at
Univ. High School
Eric has a younger sister Sharon who is in east Texas, with her husband Eddie.
After high school he came to Gainesville, Florida to attend college at the University of Florida.
Eric worked for a number of folks while in Gainesville. His last position was non-tenure track Faculty for the Astronomy Department. Before that he worked for (in reverse chronological order):
Eric currently works for the Computer Science Department at Florida International University in Miami Florida.
The love of Eric's life is his wife Dr. Caroline Simpson. She is a Professor of Astronomy and Physics at Florida International University They currently live in Country Walk neighborhood in south west Dade county.
Eric and Caroline's daily companions are their two cats,
Tsuki (female)
and Kismet (female)
Malcom (male) passed away at the age of 10 in 2017
Floater (female) passed away at the age of 18 in 2012
Mimi (female) passed away at the age of 20 in 2007.
Bigguy (male) passed away at the age of 21 in 2008.
