• Exam Information will be posted here prior to exams. Check the Moodle calendar for exam dates.
  • Quiz 1 will be on Wednesday, May 20. It will cover questions from the ends of chapters 1 and 2.
    • Chapter 1 Review Questions: except R6 and R10.

    • Python: The concepts needed to write a program that makes change. It accepts a number of cents and displays the number of dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies that it is equivalent to. The program should loop until a negative number of cents has been entered. Use methods and exception handling.

      • Clarification about P43. P43 states that the Host A is capable of sending data into the TCP socket at a rate of S bps, where S = 10 * R. R is the transmission rate of the link. The book aslo mentions that Host A has a buffer. A better description is that Host A is capable of sending data into the buffer at a rate of S bps and the buffer can send data into the link at R bps.

    • Additional Python: Modify the CGi script that processes GET requests, so that it will process a POST request. Use a small number when receiving data, so you have to loop several times to obtain all the POST data.

  • Python: Write a web server that implements a conditional GET, using the If-modified-since header. The web server only has to be able to return one file. If the browser already has the file, only send the appropriate HTTP response to indicate that the browser already has the file.
