Service Level Agreements
The Desktop group is developing a series of Service Level Agreements to describe its critical services. The conclusion of this process will see the establishment of clear definitions of service operations, guidelines for understanding of user requirements, and methods for improving communications between the members of the Desktop group and the community of users at the School of Computer Science.
Meanwhile, as this process is being undertaken, there are procedures and policies in place to assist users in making requests of the Desktop group and of the Computer Support Group, generally. This method is simply described:
If you have a need for service or a question about computer operations or the functioning of your workstation, send an email to the Support groups via the request queue. You should receive a response from a member of the Support Group within 2 business days.
