PhD Positions available

Dr. Jun Li in the School of Computing and Information Sciences at the Florida International University is looking for highly self-motivated Ph.D. students starting in Spring 2019. Candidates with experiences on machine learning, distributed computing, information theory, or any other relevant field are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants with non-CS background such as electrical engineering or applied mathematics will also be welcomed. Successful candidates will receive full financial support, including tuition coverage, living expenses, and fringe benefits.

FIU, located in Miami, FL, is classified as an R1 research university by the Carnegie Foundation. In 2019, U.S. News & World Report ranked FIU as one of the top 100 public universities. Dr. Li is now an assistant professor at the School of Computer and Information Sciences, Florida International University. His current project focuses on coding techniques for distributed machine learning.
